Saree Care
Handwoven pieces last generations when cared for gently.
Cleaning
Dry-clean only for silk and zari sarees. For cottons, a gentle cold hand-wash with mild detergent is fine — do not wring.
Drying
Dry in shade, never in direct sunlight, to protect the dyes and zari.
Storage
Store in a cotton or muslin cloth, not plastic, so the fabric can breathe. Refold along different lines every few months to avoid permanent creases. Keep silver-gilt zari away from moisture.
First wear
Air your saree before the first wear. A light, low-heat iron on the reverse smooths travel creases.
