Orange Vintage Pure Silk Handloom Paithani Chandrakala

Traditional hand weaving technique from Maharashtra, this Pure Silk Paithani Saree features iconic Chandrakala or moon motifs and Narali Borders in muted golden zari. Contrary to popular belief, traditional Paithanis were not always adorned with peacocks and parrots as many museum pieces have simpler, more elegant motifs such as Chandrakala. Traditionally woven in Black or Midnight Blue worn by newlywed brides during Sankranti, this design has been thoughtfully revived using a pallu pattern preserved at the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum in Pune. Today, it is available in 8-10 colours and can also be customised according to your requirements.
